Grampian Campervan Hire shortlisted for regional tourism award

A local tourism business is celebrating after being shortlisted for one of the region's most prestigious industry awards.

Kennethmont based Grampian Campervan Hire has reached the finals of the Best Accommodation or Unique Stay category in the Aberdeen City & Shire Thistle Awards 2026, recognising its continued commitment to providing exceptional visitor experiences.

The family-run business has built an outstanding reputation for its high quality campervans, personal customer service and helping visitors discover the very best of Scotland at their own pace.

Alongside its award-winning campervan hire business, Grampian Campervan Hire also operates a peaceful rural campsite surrounded by nature with spectacular views towards Tap o' Noth. Popular with visitors seeking a tranquil base to explore the north-east, it also provides dedicated motorhome waste disposal facilities, encouraging both guests and passing campervan and motorhome users to dispose of waste responsibly while travelling. This marks the third time Grampian Campervan Hire has reached the finals of the regional awards, having previously won the title in 2023.

The Aberdeen City & Shire Thistle Awards celebrate excellence across the tourism and hospitality sector, recognising businesses that consistently deliver outstanding experiences and contribute to the region's reputation as a leading visitor destination.

Grampian Campervan Hire will now compete against some of the region's leading accommodation providers, with the winners announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 18 September, at The Chester Hotel, Aberdeen, where tourism businesses from across the region will gather to celebrate excellence within the industry.

The regional winners will progress to represent the north-east at the national Scottish Thistle Awards.
